Birthdays
Posted: Fri, Dec 11 2009 at 05:36:21 PMSo how do you spend your Birthday?
I have a family tradition with my Mother that every year we go to Disney World.
My Mother and I was there opening day in 1971 when about 10,000 visitors converged near Orlando, Florida, to witness the grand opening of Walt Disney World. The Magic Kingdom (the only theme park at the time on Disney property) featured Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, a Main Street USA, and about 5,500 Cast Members. The price of admission was $4.95!
DID YOU KNOW ...When Disney World opened in 1971,
it was the first theme park to have continuously playing ambient music on pathways between attractions.
I told my Mother that we should go back to Disney for my Birthday each year. I was 8 years old when I said that and she never let me down.
I turn 48 this Tuesday and Mom and I will be heading to Disney.
I look forward to spending time with Mom and walking around Disney is a great way to get caught up in all the family stuff going on.
So what are you doing for your Birthday?
Doz

Prove-It!
