Well my break away in Tenerife was great. The weather wasn't so good but I was not about to let a little lack of sunshine ruin a weeks break, after all, it's not like I am unfamiliar with poor weather.

My wife and I went with a couple of friends. We shared a 3 bedroom villa so there was plenty of room to spread out. We found the pool on the last day. Oops

The beach was great, at least when it was hot out but I didn’t mind as the wife and I did 11 dives between us. The last dive was only to 12 metres but we had the joy of playing with a very friendly turtle. It could not get enough of the back scratching. Now I am a no touch person under the water but I could not help but see this wonderful creature was looking for attention. It was clearly enjoying itself around the 3 of us. Yup just me, the wife and the dive guide. Even the guide was amazed at the friendliness shown by the turtle and I figure it was down to there being only the 3 of us.

Even with such excitement of the turtle and the moray eels and the biggest nudibranch I had ever seen, my air lasted over an hour. My first hour long dive will be remembered for sometime. 

This was a nice break which has put me back in the mood for diving again. Think I shall get back to the red sea again next year.
