I think the 5 maps (rounds) per match (challenge) was not added before because then matches would then last longer than 1 hour. What is your current time-limit?

I'm used to 3 maps per 20min, (or 5 maps in fun-rumbles outside FN). So yes, with UT'99 we already use 5maps, but not on FN because it's simple not able.

it takes about 15 - 20 min / round!

all clans know they have to make time for battle! there is no time limit!



in the history of TAo our longest clanbattle was 6 hours of intense fighting!

not that this will happen on BF3, but vs QxD it was a Tie-braker after 4 rounds

I could understand wanting to keep things short if you are just playing little 4vs4 matches..... but most teams that play 12vs12's would prefer that the match lasts at least an hour......

The only way to have a fair game is to do a burn round, right there we are talking about 10 minutes, then to keep things fair both teams should be able to host so now we are up around 20 to 30 minutes just in the set up of the match.

If we can play 2 maps for every burn round, it means we spend more time having fun, then making things fair and the time wasted in set up.

So you can give the community what it wants, or not provide an option of choice.

This is a great site, but the ladder is not suited well for battlefield. Traditionally a battlefield map would play best 2 out of 3 rounds per map, and best 2 out of 3 maps. When/if Dice gives us back the option of playing both sides of the map, we would utilize this as well.

As it is a little more fair when both teams get to play both sides of the map. As it is now it can be a little unfair on certain maps.

I think the problem here is most of the games and experience, or reluctance on this issue is based on smaller 4vs4 type games.

yeah but that was the longest match any team had in the history of BC2, and the only reason it went that wrong was because of-

1. We played best 2 out of 3 maps- 9 rounds

2. A lot of server drops/ room failures

3. Extreme pathetic medic whoring.

And you are wrong, we have had more games in the 11 or 12 minutes range, then the rare ones that go near 20 minutes. Only that stand off on Seine, and maybe 1 more went into 20

I know it might not be as useful in team situations but I think that a lot of the singles ladders (and the race ladders that Halo CE and Reach are building) could benefit from more rounds per challenges.
