Do you want ladder seasons into Tournaments?
Subject: Do you want ladder seasons into Tournaments?
Based on survey data we have noticed an increase request from the community that all games have a ladder season which then leads into a season tournament to find out what team/player is actually the best.
With that being said, this poll is to find out what you prefer.
YES = I want to see ladder seasons into a final season tournament.
NO = I don't want tournaments, just a ladder.
OTHER = See my reply below
**ADMINs, do not vote on this poll. It is for the community members and ladder participants.

Poll will last for 14 days.

another issue is that US teams have a challenge advantage as most games finish later when a lot of euro playere are offline. when I used to play regularly I used to get frustrated by always being challenged on US servers all the time.
so yes a tournament to finish the season that makes all the top ranked teams play each other and that takes into account euro and US servers would be the fairest way to determine the overall winner.

Do not know who asked for this but I have not herd any talk on ut99 about ladder tournaments and as far as mediocre teams winning they will get less points for playing lower ranked teams and if they lose they lose more points. As far as all sports teams having playoffs well it is mostly to raise more money and i am not a professional so i play for fun so when the season is done I prefer to take a break till next season starts not play another 2 to 4 weeks to satisfy some whinner that thinks they should have 1st place but lost 2 many matches or was not as active because they had better things to do than play during the season.Seems pretty easy to me then. Simply play the season and then don't play in the Tournament if that is not your desired end state.
Nobody is making you play.

you are correct but that would kind of defeat the purpose of winning 1st place so it would make more sense to play just enough matches to qualify for the tournament, bare minimum then win the tournament and then listen to people cry because a team that rarely played gets 1st place. Otherwise why play at all. Just go to a private ladder that does not play a long tournament and let the public ladders die off, simple.
If you look all over the sports world, there is a division or regular season champion that is decided on by the results of the season, and than the overall champion is the result of an after season tournament of some kind.

I'm hoping we are talking about "Public Ladders" here... not going to force this down everyone's throat if it happens, are you?Yes, public only.
Private ladders are owned, ran, and controlled by the private admins.
