Subject: License numbers
Hello, I noticed when trying to setup a 1v1 ladder (which anyone may join) on Mario Kart that since there are no servers or ip's to connect to, players have to list their license numbers they receive when they made a profile on Mario Kart somewhere on FraggedNation. There is a place to put your Wii's console number within your profile on FraggedNation but not the number you need to connect to each other in Mario Kart. So should we just list the Mario Kart license number "About Me" section of our profiles?
I am just in the process of getting myself set up with this console....just got it for xmas.....so I'm also just learning the ways to get this set up. So as I get this figured out....I'll keep you posted as I go along. Then maybe we could play a few games. I also have a couple of other people I'm going to get playing as well. Hopefully we can make this a really popular ladder.

I could set Mario Kart to require a GUID - like other PC games which is essentially a license key that's needed for play... we could then update the general rules for that game to include instructions on how to find the license key, and the ladder software will inform participants that they need to enter it before they can play.

All set... how long are the license keys? I think currently we limit to 8 characters which was standard for most PC games, but it may need to be modified if the Wii license keys are longer. Thanks!

lol thats funny i was going to write to you about that. The license numbers are 12 digits long. And i do believe the same holds true for Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

There's a link to invite when viewing the standings (right above them) so that anyone can invite someone, but you also as the Ladder Owner have a link to invite members from the Ladder Management Console. Get some invites out there and you're almost guaranteed to get some people signed up for a good time.

Right now, Kart and AC are the only networkable games I've got (kickdirtkickdirtkickdirt).
