Subject: Military Veterans
I think it would be a neat addition to see ANY and ALL military veterans have a tag or banner on their profile. Maybe something along the lines of their country flag, their rank and the years of service???
It would be an awesome way to recognize all veterans of the armed forces!!

I like it and keep those suggestions coming for these wonderful members.
We have an idea what we want to do, but we are always looking for ideas to make it better.

Great idea, but I am no so sure about the rank part. You know how the military can get with various ranks interacting. Plus sometimes that can cause an uncomfortable situation.
Branch of service and years of service would be cool though.
What do you think of something like this, as a rank under the name for service members:

One question though, how will people prove it or is this going to just be on the honor system. I mean there are quite a few people out there that try and fake their service records and such. Sad as that is.....

We will have to figure that system out. Most likely, military members will have to provide a .mil email account which should suffice in proving they are a military member.
As for the Firefighters, EMTs and Police - That would be a great idea as well. Not sure how best to work this one though. I guess we could do one for each or really have them combined into one rank as Emergency Services.

The only thing I can think of....that people will do....is have them send a picture of themselves in uniform....but even that can be fudged. I know I certainly would not send a pic of my ID or of my DD214.....any other ideas on how to get around someone cheating the system???

People that are already out of the military aren't going to have a .mil account anymore.

I would recommend that the badge we have located above be used for current service members.
We can also look at creating prior service badges, etc.
I like where this is going and now is everyone's chance to put their thoughts in on what they would like to see.
