General rules
Game Mode: Normal (default)
Lower rank team hosts the first map. Higher rank team hosts the second map.If a third map needs to be played, then the lower rank team will host again.
**Note: Since private servers are not out yet we ask that teams choose a public server for a region where lag will be kept to a minimum for both teams.
Each match consists of 3 maps. One map consists of each team playing 1 round as the attackers and 1 round as the defenders. A point is received when a team successfully destroys a M-Com site. At the end of a round, points are added up and the team with more points wins that round.
If there is a tie in points on any map both teams will continue playing on that specific map until a winner is determined. If a map is replayed each team must play again as both the attackers and defenders.
Banned guns/specs
Frag rounds are NOT allowed!
M320 frags are NOT allowed!
*Explosives: Disabled - Off (Default) | Enabled - ON
(Claymores, C4, and AT Mines)
*Mortars: Disabled - Off (Default) | Enabled - ON
*Remotely Operated Vehicles: Disabled - Off (default) | Enabled - ON
(Include both the EOD Bot and MAV)
Explosives, Mortars and ROV are optional settings; when posting a challenge you can choose whether these will be allowed or not. Click on 'Match Finder' -> 'Post a challenge' and scroll down to find these settings.
Any team caught using banned guns/specs will be automatically removed from the ladder; there will be no exceptions. We have no private servers so we cannot control everything. However, if you are caught you will be IMMEDIATELY removed from the ladder. DO NOT RISK IT. I except fair play from all of you.
ELO Point system
Players gain rating points for each win, and lose rating points for each loss. Because ratings take into account not only the number of wins and losses but also the skill of each opponent, they are a useful measure of the true skill level of a player.
The rating system used is the same Elo rating system that is used in competitive chess, golf, and tennis. The Elo rating is a scientific model which provides a meaningful way to compare the skill level of different players, based on the assumption that skill levels follow a normal bell curve.
Disconnecting/Ineligible members
If a player disconnects BEFORE the first kill was made, then the round continues to play and the player may reconnect at any point. However, if the player is unable to rejoin due to a non eligible player joining the game, the round must be restarted.
If a player disconnects AFTER the first kill was made, then the round continues to play and the player may reconnect at any point, if the player is unable to rejoin due to a random player joining the game, then the team with the disconnection will forfeit that round. The round will continue as long only eligible members are playing.
It's possible you end up playing 4 versus 3 due to disconnection issues; as stated above the round will continue and any of your eligible members may reconnect at any point. When your team member fails to rejoin on time after the first kill was made, the match will only be forfeited if a random (ineligible) player had joined.
If a team member who's not on "eligible challenge roster" joins the server, then the team with the disconnection problem will forfeit that round.
Note: Your username must be on 'eligible challenge roster' to be able to play. Any team that is playing with ineligible members will be penelised. Provide us with a screenshot (camera) and request a forfeit. ALWAYS CHECK IF YOUR TEAM IS PLAYING AGAINST ELIGIBLE MEMBERS!
It may seem unfair if the disconnection is due to connection issues, but it is the only way to create a rule that is even for both teams.
*Loss of ELO points, which may affect ladder standings.
*Forfeit of the match during which the violation occurred.
*Temporary suspension of the offending member or team.
*Permanent removal of the member or team from ladders.
Penalties
The following is the ELO Penalty point system to be used on FraggedNation, dealing with ladders, tournaments, and general FN issues. Evidence will be present before any of the following infractions are given:
Disruptive behaviour (bad language, ...)
1st occurrence: Instant Team Suspension (1 week)
2nd occurrence: Instant Team Suspension (2 weeks) + Loss of points (30)
3rd occurrence: Permanent Team Suspension
Breaking rules (cheating)
1st occurrence: Instant Team Suspension (1 week)
2nd occurrence: Permanent Team Suspension
If we receive complains from both teams about cheating, both teams will be deactivated. This seemed most fair to us. Make sure you always provide us with real proof (screenshots). I'd advise you not to play on private servers to avoid conflicts (no battlelog reports).
Code of Conduct
Cheating (using mouse / keyboard), glitching, abusing in-game mechanics, or any other misconduct will not be tolerated. Any team caught doing this will automatically forfeit the match and will be removed from the ladder.
Members will treat each other with respect at all times. No member will use comments about nationality, age, gender, race, religious belief, or sexual orientation to insult others.
Members will exhibit good sportsmanship at all times. There will be no taunting, harassing, or unsportsmanlike conduct.
Profanity and language of an offensive nature will not be tolerated, whether on forums or any type of voice or text communications. There will be no discussion of nudity, sexual content, use of illegal substances, or any other adult content, whether by images, text or voice communications.
Members will not attempt to manipulate the game or ladder system in an attempt to give any player or team an unearned advantage. This includes intentionally killing one's teammates or oneself.
Penalties for violating the Code of Conduct include, but are not limited to:
*Loss of ELO points, which may affect ladder standings.
*Forfeit of the match during which the violation occurred.
*Temporary suspension of the offending member or team.
*Permanent removal of the member or team from ladders.
Match issues
Please do your best to filter all questions or problems through your Head Admin before contacting a Game or Global Director. Head Admins are in place to handle situations specific to each ladder and often will have more insight into a proper course of action. If the Head Admin is unable to help then you may escalate to the Game Admin
If a team/player disagrees with an Admin's call, they must submit a support ticket. Challenging a call made by the admin should NEVER be done DURING the match. Should any player attempt to argue with the admin mid-match, they will be subject to penalties at the admin's and/or Head Admin's discretion.
Each player/team will have 5 challenges to use per season. If your team wins the challenge, your 5 challenges remain. If the decision is not overturned by an Admin, then your team will lose 1 challenge.
Do not hesitate to ask for more information. Any questions? Post them on this thread.

Is it standard in competitive play to ban all support gadgets? I've heard of banning mortars, shotgun frag rounds, and ROVs before - but not claymores and C4. Thanks for setting up this ladder!

All the "Banned guns/specs" are optional settings which can be set when creating a challenge. This can be found on the ladder page > rules & settings > match settings.

Yes click on 'Match finder' -> 'Post a challenge' and you can see that these rules are optional.
Explosives, Mortars and ROV are optional settings; when posting a challenge you can choose whether these will be allowed or not.
