Hello to all participants of the Hauppauge BF3 Tournament,

I've been contacting the admins for a while now about how this ladder is running. I hope most here can agree that extending the ladder and implementing the poll outcomes would be the best way to go and try to make this into a real competition. Just all speak up and be heard. I say +1 to extending the ladder (1/2 weeks?) and implementing multiple challenging.

I'm totally agree with you morte.

The problem about the ladder the way it is now is that the clans haven't got a real change to become first and win the ladder by playing!

I think everyclan deserves a change to become first challenging the TOP1.

+1. There have not been enough matches to crown a worthy champion, surely a short extension won't ruin anyone's holiday plans.

TG Does not want to extend this tournament mainly because it was already postponed once and we have had the same issues with challenging as everyone else and have made the best of it. I think that there are far too many issues with the ladder as it is and that it should have been a tournament to begin with. If this gets extended we will most likely leave the ladder because drawing out a non active ladder any longer is too much of a hassle for us to deal with. If there were more active teams and we could get matches then I would say yeah lets play it a bit longer but one more week puts us into the holidays and I can guarantee you that the teams will get even less active. I understand the frustration coming from Morte and some of the other teams, but I just dont see this as helping to drag it out any further. So this is on behalf of TG 1st BTN:

Sorry guys but with the holidays coming up its the right choice to stick with it and draw it to a close on the 19th like it is supposed to.

I dunno, but it seems a bit weird and false seeing as you have 6 matches on record, 3 of which were forfeits, you won 2 and lost 1 versus the number 2 and you're only first cause you have more forfeit wins. Basically we didn't even get the chance to challenge cause there were teams challenging us 1 week in advance removing EVERY chance to ever win this in the first place. Basically the team who had the most luck with challenging won this ladder

Also we would have no problem what so ever with turning this into a tournament in the end (just letting top 4 or 8 in). We could make a bracket size tournament this week on 1 night when everyone can play and then just finish it like a real competition.

I just want to play the number one and two on the ladder and get a winner who deserves it.

We will put another vote up if we see enough players requesting it. Just make sure you get some support for it.


Side Note: For the TG guys, if the minimum matches are not met, then nobody will win, so you might want to take that into consideration.

I was also wondering if there is any admin who could give an exact prize breakdown for this tournament?

Well we have been challenging consistently since the tournament opened. We have played or attempted to play almost every Sunday and Wednesday since the ladder opened so if we dont hit the required number then its not because we did not try its because the ladder settings did not allow for us to play the magic number. Most of the time we have been challenging those available most of the active teams are not available to challenge. I am all about playing I just can not see doing it over the holidays its just got bad idea written all over it.

No worries. When we look at the challenge vs play ratio we will update as needed.

Good call on holidays and I agree it may cause bigger problems. As with everything we get better at this and can only make these events good with the communities help.


The prizes are headsets for 1st place teams and Hauppage HD PVR's/XSplit premium accounts for 2nd place.

Oh I think that this ladder has been huge in helping future ladders and tournaments especially with all the input from the community that has been posted. The upcoming ladders and tournaments should run smooth.
