Sig of the Week #4 Sign-Ups
Subject: Sig of the Week #4 Sign-Ups

The Sig of the Week Competition is a signature contest that allows all artists, new or veteran, to compete in signature making.
Sig of the Week sign-ups will start every Monday. A thread will be posted and will last Monday-Wednesday. You may begin working on your signature as soon as you sign up. No late sign ups will be accepted.
When you are finished with you signature, you will then send the file (the save file for the signature and not the image file) to FN's email. This is to ensure no signatures are ripped or stolen from other websites or artists. Signatures can be edited and sent via email if they are not on or past the due date. Please note that it is your job to make sure your signature follows the standard signature specifications. If anything is wrong with the signature during or after the due date, it will not be accepted. Email: sotw@fraggednation.com
Signatures are due every Friday before midnight. The voting thread will be created Saturday and the voting period will last Saturday-Sunday. The winner will be announced on Monday. This is subjected to change due to any unforeseen circumstances. No late signatures will be accepted.
General Rules:
1: Ripping/Stealing will not be tolerated. If anyone is caught submitting a ripped or stolen signature, he or she will be disqualified and will not be able to sign-up for any future Sig of the Weeks.
2: Any signature submitted must follow the signature specifications. These are located at the bottom of the thread.
3: Any signature submitted must be created during the week of the competition. Anything else will not be accepted.
4: Site Rules apply to the signature. For information on the site rules, follow the link provided: FraggedNation Site Rules.
5: One entry per person.
Basic Signature Explanation:
Below are the basic necessities for every signature for the Sig of the Week. A simple explanation for each has been given in order for new sigmakers, or anyone else, to learn and to provide an understanding on what is needed. Each of these parts will vary with every new Sig of the Week.
Theme: The theme of any signature is main motif, or idea, of the signature. This is the representation of the signature, what the signature means, and what the creator wishes to express. The theme will always be different and everyone will have to follow the theme in their own variety and way. An example of a theme would be: Nature, Video Games, Sports, Religion, etc.
Render: A render is a picture that has been extracted (rendered) from a wallpaper or image onto a transparent background. To explain, it is, basically, taking out a character from its environment and putting it on a blank piece of paper. Renders can be found throughout the web, but here is a trusted site full of renders: www.planetrenders.com.
Size: Every signature will require certain dimensions, or area, needed to work with. There will be a vertical and horizontal height needed.
