Hi all, I got a laptop HP Pavilion dv9000. They had a recall on these before I have one that was never repaired and its all f*ed up... I got no screen, and the wireless card doesn't get read from the board. It got about 150GB HDD and 2GB RAM running Windows 7 Ultimate. I use it by plugging it into a monitor. I am deciding to sell this one and buy a cheap laptop or what should I do buy a screen for this one and use it as it is?these days it could be cheaper to just buy a new laptop. however!!!! i did some digging up for you and found this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnkQNmKauEc it is a repair video on how to fix the problem =) but i donot recomend you try and fix it if you have no experiance with computers that way. at the beggining of the video he says you are entitaled to get monney back for your problems with the laptop as HP realy...REALY screwd up on this one. law suits and everything.
depending on if and how much money you are able to get back If i were you i would buy the best laptop you can buy with around $400 and salvage all the parts on your old laptop to try and build it upto a $800 laptop.
Nice set up some of you members have. I wish I could afford what you guys have as your set up..
