PC: Counter-Strike:Source

I would happy to see more active players in here for any version of counter strike, whether it be 1.5, 1.6, or even counter strike source, as I plan to start playing this again once I get back from deployment and I need someone to show me the ropes, fill me in on the updates that have been added in the past year and a half to 2 years since its been that long since I've played. Or it would even be nice to just chat with people about the upcoming counter strike global offensive, I am anticipating it, and I hope Valve will deliver, and I hope it will be the inbetween of 1.6 and source, have all the best aspects from each and combine them, and then even improve on that! Well don't be a afraid to stop in and say hi, I would like to see a someone have some interest in common with me on this game still.

What version should I get? I plan on starting to play this game.
