| Setting Name: | Options: (*) |
| Ping Compensation | * Disabled Enabled (if both players agree, or admin decides it should be enabled) |
| 1. General Rules | |
|---|---|
| 1.1 | http://www.fraggednation.com/rules.php |
| 2. Unsportsmanlike Play | |
| 2.1 | Unsportsmanlike conduct will be any action that can be deemed as
offensive to the opposing team or the referee. Do not insult, belittle,
or mock your opponent or referee. If there is a disagreement let your
ref and/or team captain handle it and deal with it in a mature manner.
Do not challenge a decision made by the ref in game,if you want to
discuss it in a respectful manner do so after the game. Any disrespect
towards your referee will result in a penalty, skipping the warning
stage, this is your warning. Penalties: 1st Offense: 1 Frag penalty 2nd Offense: 5 Frag penalty (Plus original 1 = 6 Frag loss total) 3rd Offense: Team forfeits match In the case of the above, the team will receive the penalty and thus no matter what the team points are left, then you subtract those points. In the event of overtime, the team would essentially still have the penalty and thus one team will be declared the winner. Always show respect to your referee. Please remember that a referee is donating their time to watch you play, and is merely enforcing the ladder rules. If you have a problem with a ref or with a call or decision made please contact the head admin of the ladder. |
| 3. Demo Requirement | |
| 3.1 | Demo Requirement: Be advised that every player who participates in a match must demo it, and retain that demo for the duration of the ladder. Furthermore, if a FraggedNation Admin requests such a demo, it must be submitted to them in a timely manner. Failure to do so could result in forfeiture of the match in question. |
| 4. Server Picking, Ping, & Crashes | |
| 4.1 | Server Picking and Ping: Though FraggedNation allows the challenging player to pick the server, the defending player may not have fair ping in this server, thus players must pick a server which allows the closest ping. IE: if John has a ping of 25, to"Fail Duelz 1v1" and Jim has a ping of 80 to "Fail Duelz1v1", but John has a ping of 64 to "The Slipgate 1v1", and Jim has a ping of 72 to "The Slipgate 1v1", then "The Slipgate1v1" is the server in which the match is to be played. If there are any disagreements regarding server picking please consult an admin. UT3Comp's built in Ping Compensation mutator may be used if agreed upon by both players, or by the player with higher ping and the admin. (Players ping should be above 60 to use Ping Compensation.) These rules may become void, if the server where players ping closest doesn't have the maps necessary, that both players picked. (in this case a compromise may be made)
Server Crashes: In the event of a server crash, if both players can agree upon the remaining time and score, the map may be restarted with the remaining time and score intact. If there is a dispute the entire map will be restarted and replayed. |
| 5. Scheduling | |
| 5.1 | Scheduling: All matches should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, and must be accepted by the defending player. No forfeiture will be given due to inactivity.
Rescheduling: Dates can only be rescheduled on a different day/night (prior) to the match day/night as long as both players agree and the admins are contacted by email in advance. |
| 6. Map Picking | |
| 6.1 | Map Picking: The challenging player will pick the first map to be played, while the defending player will pick the second map to be played. If a tiebreaker is necessary, a random map will be selected from the map pool. The map list is as follows: DM-1on1-Confined-FE |
| 7. Match Format | |
| 7.1 | Match Format: The format for all North American Unreal Tournament III DUEL matches will follow the rules & standards set by competitive games throughout history. (UT99/2003/2004/UT3) (See match settings for more details) |
| 8. Timelines & Warmup | |
| 8.1 | Timeliness & Warmup: All players should arrive in the server no later than 10 minutes from when matches are scheduled, if a player is 15 minutes late, that player will receive a forfeit, unless the waiting player wishes to continue waiting. Warmup time should last no more than 10 minutes from the time both players are in the server. Most players don't have all day, so please, hit f5 and Ready up already! |
| 9. Settings & Mutators | |
| 9.1 | Settings & Mutators: Mutators: UT3Comp and X-ray Player Reporter. Settings: The matches will last approximately 15 minutes with no frag limit. Powerups such as Redeemer, Double Damage, Berserk, Invisible, and Invulnerable will be disabled. |
| 10. Sportsmanship, Cheating/Hacking | |
| 10.1 | Cheating/Hacking: FraggedNation has a ZERO tolerance policy regarding Game Hacking. This rule covers players who use code to manipulate a particular game for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage over other teams and players.Wallhacks, and aimbots are just a couple examples of the types of cheats covered by this rule. "Testing" or "Trying out" Hack Programs will not be accepted excuses. Simply put, "Do Not Install Hacks for any reason" 1. Hacker caught in FraggedNation Match: - forfeiture of the existing game - Player Permanently banned from FraggedNation. - Player will forfeit any match (for the present season) that the offending player was *proven to have played in.
2. Hacker Caught in Match outside of the ladder or in a match outside of FraggedNation: - Player Permanently banned from FraggedNation. - Player will forfeit any match (for the present season) that the offending player was *proven to have played in.
3. Hacker caught in a Pub/Scrim : - Player banned from FraggedNation for 1 Year. - 2nd Offense Permanently Banned.
* Opposing teams will have to provide proof to FraggedNation Admins in the form of Demos, that the opposing team did have this player on their team. Proof must be provided within a 48 hr period. Circumventing your ban, either by creating new accounts, or smurfing/aliasing as another player will result in the player(s) being Permanently banned from FraggedNation. *NOTE* Each individual game has the option of preventing a person from participating in their specific game that has been caught cheating on the pubs, regardless of how long ago the violation has occurred. This will affect that game only. The player will not be site banned/suspended or prevented from playing another game that allows them to, if the violation is over one year old. |
